More that just being a dance form Hip Hop can rightly be called a cultural movement. Hip hop has been fueled and developed by the traditional elements and needs of Dj’s and MC’s. Dance forms developed in the 80’s such as breaking, popping, and locking form the essence of Hip Hop. Graffiti art also contributed immensely to the increasing popularity of Hip hop. At Latin Grooves, we focus on the dancing aspect of Hip Hop and concentrate highly on its different variations and styles. Using a moderate tempo and rich rhythms we work at creating the perfect balance of the best workouts for both the soul and the body. Such training serves the dual purpose of developing total control over the quick movements of the dance steps along with adding a strong and energizing feeling of happiness to both the performance and performer. As a culture, hip hop represents other aspects of living such as language, dressing styles, politics, etc. In short it would be right to say that Hip hop is not just one aspect of living but on the contrary is an entire life style! |
